I started out as a Dental Assistant in July 2010 and was promoted to an Assistant Manager in February 2017. I have now been working as a Clinic Manager for Dental Forté since May 2019. Over the course of 9 years, I have assisted over 30 dentists, which includes general dentists, oral surgeons, periodontists, and orthodontists.
With my years of experience and knowledge, I know that hygiene & infection control is just as important as patient experience & satisfaction, and I make sure to impart that knowledge to the individuals trained by me to become Dental Assistants.
My leisure time includes going to my favourite cafés for a coffee or a short trip to Bangkok to unwind!
As Patient Co-ordinator, I am usually the first to welcome you to the clinic. My job is to make sure you have a positive patient experience: from booking your appointments to helping you keep track of your treatment plan.
I take great pride in helping our patients take charge of their dental health, and nothing makes me happier than seeing them leave our clinic with big smiles on their faces.
I have also started my own Invisalign journey, feel free to ask me your questions about it!
When I'm not working at the clinic, I enjoy trying out new restaurants or playing my favourite video games with friends.
My journey as a dental assistant has led me to expand not only my knowledge but also my horizons. It has given me the opportunity to make use of both my desire to help people and also learn new things.
Every person in the clinic plays an important role for a successful patient outcome. I have realized over the years that working together with the best people will make you feel rewarded when you have a satisfied patient at the end!
Outside of work, I spend time with my son who loves doing arts and crafts. I love to watch any comedies and action series on Netflix.
I was previously working in the F&B industry for 8 years and when the chance arose for me to reconsider my career path, I took the opportunity and joined Dental Forté.
Being a part of this team has allowed me to learn that there is so much more to dentistry. This sparked an interest in me that I never knew existed and I am thankful that I have found ways to integrate my knowledge of customer service from my previous job to my current one.
I love knowing that I am involved with helping patients achieve a set of healthy teeth and I am proud to be a part of this friendly and dedicated team! I look forward to meeting new patients as well as building great relationships with them.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my cats and hanging out at different cafes!
In 2020, I started out as an intern at Dental Forté before converting to a full time dental assistant in 2021 while I was waiting to recommence dental school in Australia.
Here, I am able to put into practice and expand on what I have learnt, and I've come to realise that patient-centred care, anticipating patients' needs, and being empathic are just as important as strong technical skills and dental knowledge.
Now that school has recommenced, I return to Dental Forté whenever I am on my term break to continue my learning journey and to continue working with patients!
Endorphin triggers include: upcycling, discovering old films, and indulging in FOOD with friends, family, and my dog.
